As entrepreneurs we need to be able to think on our feet, otherwise we lose a sale.

“Hello SanteKay”, is the greeting I receive from both old and new customers. I responded “Helleeeeeew.” She in turn sent a smiling emoji.

She is an old customer, who I hadn’t heard from in a while.

She wanted to take advantage of our Father’s Day promotion, which notification she received through our email broadcast, and she wanted her beneficiary to choose his own design at no cost.

“Do you have vouchers or gift cards?” To be honest, we have been thinking about introducing those for sometime now.

“Currently, we don’t. But I can generate a 100% discount code for you to share with this special person and when the order hits our portal I’ll let you know the cost so you can pay for it using the Father’s Day promitional code.”

“Thank you”, she responded. And in less that a minute I sent her the code for her beneficiary.

A sale could have been lost, but by being proactive and thinking on the spot a sale was made.

The SanteKay voucher/gift card is long overdue. I dare say it will be launched on 1st August, 2022
